On Tuesday December 20th, Bedford Road FD was alerted to Mountain Valley Rd mutual aid to Company 6 (Ellerslie) for a house fire. Bedford County ECC dispatched the "working fire assignment" shortly after dispatch on box F0602. Engine 32 with a staffing of 6 personnel responded. Once on scene the crew was assigned fire attack. The crew advanced a 1.75 handline off Engine Tanker 6 through the front door to the seat of the fire.

The crew split once inside, with 2 completing a primary search, and 2 assisting the nozzlemen with opening up. The crew extinguished a room off on Division 1 and the attic area. Primary searches were negative, the crew remained on scene for 2 hours assisting with overhaul. Engine 32 supplied water to nurse tanker Engine Tanker 5.

Chief 6A (Christner) held the Mountain Valley Rd command.
